REFINED. EMOTIONAL. MAGIC.
The names of our houses are linked to Spazioscena Cultural Association and they are each dedicated to a muse, protector of arts.
The Greek name Calliope means “beautiful voice” (Καλλιόπη). As the Muse who presides over epic poetry, Calliope uses verses to narrate people’s legendary feats, their myths and their heroes. She is known as Homer’s Muse for the Iliad and the Odyssey. The Italian poet Dante Alighieri invokes her in his Divine Comedy as well.Calliope is the wisest of all muses and is known as “Chief of all Muses.” In classical iconography, she is portrayed with a gold crown on her head, holding a tablet for writing and a roll of paper or book. She is the daughter of memory and the mother of writing.
Our apartment dedicated to Calliope is located on the piano nobile of the nineteenth-century building that houses the Spazioscena Cultural Association.
The presence of ceilings with ample vaults and an ancient family chapel makes one feel you’re in a place where time has stood still.
A large double bedroom, with two comfortable balconies, overlooks Piazza Minà Palumbo – one of the main squares of Castelbuono. A living room with a queen-size sofa bed, kitchenette and a bathroom with shower complete the small but refined apartment.Book Calliope
